License and purchase FAQ

What do I get for $10?

A lifetime ModbusBB license: unlimited session time, activation on up to 3 devices, every feature (multiple connections and workspaces, read/write plus FC08/17/22/23/43 device tools, raw traffic monitor, slave simulator, scanners, trends, CSV logging, watchdog alerts and the CLI), free lifetime updates and email support. It is a one-time payment, not a subscription.

How is the license key delivered?

Checkout is handled securely by PayPal. Once payment completes, your license key is generated automatically and emailed to the address you enter. Start ModbusBB, paste the key into the license window and activate it (an internet connection is needed for activation).

Can I move my license to a new computer?

Yes. A license can be active on up to 3 devices at a time. Deactivate an old device in the self-service portal to free a slot, then activate ModbusBB on the new PC.

Does ModbusBB need an internet connection after activation?

Only occasionally. After activation it works offline and must verify the license online at least once every 30 days. Your Modbus register values and logs are never sent to our servers.

Can I try ModbusBB before buying?

Yes. The free 30-day trial includes every feature, limited to 15-minute sessions, and no credit card is required. Download the trial.

What is the refund policy?

ModbusBB comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. If it does not work for you, email support@maxenergic.com within 14 days of purchase with your PayPal order ID or purchase email for a full refund, no reason required. The license key is revoked when the refund is issued. You can also try every feature free for 30 days before buying.
