Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using ModbusBB

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ModbusBB ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant

2.1 Trial License

The free trial version grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software for evaluation purposes for 30 days, with sessions limited to 15 minutes each.

2.2 Full License

Upon purchase, you are granted a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software on any computer you own or control. Each license is valid for one user.

3. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the Software
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
  • Rent, lease, or lend the Software to third parties
  • Use the Software to develop competing products
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
  • Share, sell, or transfer your license key to others

4. Intellectual Property

The Software and all copies thereof are proprietary to Max Energic Apps and title remains with Max Energic Apps. All rights in the Software not specifically granted in this agreement are reserved to Max Energic Apps.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

Max Energic Apps does not warrant that the Software will meet your requirements or that operation of the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL MAX ENERGIC APPS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES; LOSS OF USE, DATA, OR PROFITS; OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) HOWEVER CAUSED AND ON ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY.

Max Energic Apps' total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Software.

7. Industrial Use Warning

ModbusBB is intended for testing and debugging purposes. While the Software can communicate with industrial equipment, you are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring proper safety measures are in place
  • Understanding the implications of sending commands to industrial equipment
  • Any damage to equipment or processes resulting from use of the Software

8. Updates and Support

Licensed users receive free lifetime updates to the Software. Support is provided via email on a best-effort basis.

9. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term of this agreement. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the Software.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to Terms

Max Energic Apps reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
